Dear Friends:

On behalf of all those who have been touched by Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, I would like to thank you for your generous contribution of $1,000.00 to the SIDS Alliance.

Your contribution will help provide badly needed funds to support critical and innovative research initiatives that will help uncover the causes of and one day, hopefully, help us eradicate Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. In addition, the donation will be used to fund SIDS Alliance family support services and public education programs.

The mission of this fund is to continue to finance this research laboratory. Efforts from this facility could lead to a cure for all children with cancer and minimize treatment-related side effects. A more immediate goal of our fund is to provide support services to the children and their families. Toward this goal, we have opened the Children's Cancer Treatment Center at Westchester County Medical Center. This center provides out-patient infusion services with a child friendly environment.

The Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Alliance is a national, not-for-profit, voluntary health organization dedicated to the support of SIDS families, public education and the elimination of SIDS through research. The SIDS Alliance funds medical research; offers emotion support nationally and through over 50 local programs to families who have lost babies to SIDS; and supplies up-to-date information on SIDS to the general public, particularly new and expectant parents, through a nationwide toll free hotline number.

We are very grateful to you for your support of our efforts.

Sincerely,

Judith S. Jacobson
Executive Vice President
