Dear Friends,

I want to thank you for your generous gift of $1,000.00 to the Israel Youth Village. At the Village the summer months are a variation from class, but not a vacation from the campus. Our dormitories are still occupied. Our kitchens still serve up to three nutritious meals daily. Our alumni in the army still return for every free Shabbat.

For these special boys, the Israel Youth Village is the only real home they have. It's the only place where they receive the love and attention every child needs and deserves.

A recent case in point is a young blind boy who applied to our new School of Music and Arts. The program began last year with an enrollment of thirty. It is geared to the student who has interests in these areas, but is not inclined toward intensive Talmud study or a heavy computer-oriented curriculum. The program is obviously serving an important niche since the enrollment this year soared to more than 100 students.

Your encouragement and help are an inspiration to all of use here at the Israel Youth Village. I am proud that ours is one of the worthy causes you choose to support.

On behalf of our students, I thank you for your kindness on behalf of the neediest in Israel. May you have great success in all your worthy endeavors.

With all my best wishes for a healthy and prosperous summer, I remain

Sincerely yours,
Rabbi Samuel Lipsker
